 Born: October 6, 1952, in Wilmington, Delaware, 

Married: Mary Montgomery Elliott, three children.

 

EDUCATION:

University of South Carolina College of Journalism (B.A., 1973); University of South Carolina (J.D., 1977). Assistant Attorney General, Office of South Carolina Attorney General, 1977-1982. Richland County Republican Party Chairman, 1986-1997; Chairman, Richland County Public Defender Corporation, 1994-1995. 

Member of: South Carolina Bar, 1977 ; Richland County and American Bar Associations; U.S. District Court, District of South Carolina; U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit. 

Appointed as Interim Commissioner to the Public Service Commission of South Carolina July 2, 1999.
Served until February 29, 2000.
