PSC to Host Virtual Night Hearings on Dominion Case in November

Wed, 10/07/2020

On November 9th, 10th, and 12th, the Public Service Commission of South Carolina will host a series of virtual public night hearings to gather consumer feedback related to Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc.’s request for rate adjustments (Docket No. 2020-125-E). These virtual hearings will begin at 6 p.m. and Dominion Energy customers are encouraged to register their thoughts on the company’s proposed rate increase, which will go into effect in March of 2021, if approved by the Public Service Commission.

There are two ways to testify: either audio only or via webconferencing software. If you’d like to testify via audio, the process is as follows: starting on October 5th and extending until November 9th at 3:00 p.m., call 803-896-5133 and preregister by leaving your name, physical address, telephone (preferably cell) number, and which date you wish to testify.

If you’d like to testify with audio and video via webconferencing software, you’ll follow the above procedure—that is, calling in to 803.896.5133 between October 5th and November 9th and leaving your name, email address, physical address, telephone (preferably cell) number, and the date on which you plan to testify. At that point, you’ll receive an email from the Public Service Commission with further details, so be sure to provide an accurate email address when you call.

Please note that you must preregister in order to testify and that you can only testify at one public night hearing in this docket.

On the date you chose during the preregistration period, you will call in to 877.236.8674 prior to the meeting, at which point you’ll be queued to speak and can speak before the Commissioners when your name is called. Please note that all comments are limited to three minutes and are admitted into the record for Docket No. 2020-125-E.
