At this week’s Commission Business Meeting, the Public Service Commission scheduled two new opportunities for utility consumers to speak before the Commission in Docket No. 2020-125-E. These two hearings will accommodate testimony from both audio callers and in-person testifiers, and will take place at the following times:
- January 5th, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- January 7th, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
To register to testify, send an email to communications@psc.sc.gov or leave a message on the hearing line at 803.896.5133 with the following information:
- Your name
- The telephone number you wish to testify with
- The date you’ll be testifying (either January 5th or January 7th)
- Whether you’ll be testifying on the phone or in person
On the date you’ve chosen, a representative of the Commission will call you back on the number you left (if you chose to testify over the phone) when it’s your turn, or will text you when it’s your time to enter the building (if you chose to testify in person). The Commission will be adhering to all DHEC/CDC-provided procedures to ensure your safety; we ask that you arrive wearing a mask and maintain six feet of distance between yourself and others. If you’re testifying in person, please wait outside the Commission’s offices (101 Executive Center Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29201) until you receive a text, then come into the building. Janitorial staff will sterilize the building between testifiers.
If you're interested in listening to the testimony of others, but not interested in testifying yourself, you can call into 1-800-908-8386 and listen to the proceedings.
You can watch a recording of the meeting, including discussion of the night hearings, at this link. Updated information will be posted to the Commission’s Facebook and Twitter pages, where staff is available to answer your questions; you can also send any questions to contact@psc.sc.gov or call 803.896.5100.
