PSC Issues Two Orders Involving Transportation Companies

At their Commission Business Meeting of 6.9.22, the Commissioners of the Public Service Commission (PSC) of South Carolina issued two Orders pertaining to transportation companies operating in South Carolina.

1. Order No. 2022-405 requires that Motor Carrier Certificate Holders “must notify the Commission if they seek to amend an existing Certificate to read Statewide Authority.”

2. Order No. 2022-407 mandates that, for all current Class E Household Goods Certificate Holders, “the current rates on file, approved by the Commission, and posted on the Commission’s website prior to May 23, 2022, shall be deemed and considered the Company’s Maximum Rates.” Companies who wish to amend their Maximum Rates may do so through the standard process; please contact the Commission at 803.895.5100 or at contact@psc.sc.gov for more information.
